Red Comet

I'm happy to show my last project which I used to push forward my hardsurface skills and my creativity. This one was a big one and I 've never create an asset that big.

Being a science-fiction guy, one day, I asked myself : " If we were in a space opera world such as Star wars, Guardians of the galaxy, what would I like my spaceship to look like? ". And here's the result.

A red spaceship being so fast that it started to be named the "Red Comet".

first of all, I didn't want something to dark or juste fade in terms of vibe. I wanted to get something kind of funky whitout going to far in that vibe. Additionnal to the funkyness, it had to give a feeling of speed. A common solution is the color red. FlashMcqueen (Cars), Ferrari, Ducati, you put red on a vehicule, your brain tells you "okay, it's fast" and I love red by the way. Then in terms of color, I had no real doubts. Whites lines were there to give a little look of race car. Add more than 2 wings, curves pointing to the back and it will increase the feeling of speed.
